If you go into hospital because you are ill it is the job of the hospital to deal with your medical problems. But when you are better you have to leave the hospital even if you are frail and would find it difficult to look after yourself at home.

Maybe. The government will add up your cash and investments and if they come to more than £23,500 (in England), £28,000 (in Scotland), £24,000 if care is in your own home (in Wales), you may pay for your Care. If you have less than that you may have to pay some of the cost but not all of it.

If you live on your own you may have to sell the house to pay for Care but if you go into a Care Home and your wife/husband/partner is still living in your house the value of the house is not counted.

As with all aspects of financial planning we would recommend reviewing your school fee planning at least once a year alongside the rest of your financial situation. Any changes can be reviewed and amended accordingly giving you the best chance of achieving that total sum needed.
